Ban Lifted on Saleem Malik

by hami on October 23, 2008

Today the ban on Saleem Malik (former Pakistani Captain) has been lifted, which was imposed by PCB on him after he was accused to bribe Aussie Cricketers Shane Warne and and Mark Waugh to lose theĀ  Karachi Test 1994-95, although both have denied for any money being taken from Malik.

Ban was given in Justice Malik Mohammad Qayyum’s court.

Malik was not allowed to associate himself in any means with cricket, and this include his participation as a trainee, commentator, and various jobs.

He completely denied all the accusations and said:

“I have served cricket for 19 years and today I feel vindicated,” Malik said outside a sessions court in Lahore on Thursday. “”I hope that talk of fixing never haunts cricket. Cricket is a pure game and is played by some nice and passionate players.”
